In 1973 BBH founders Maharaj Kumar Raj Singh Dungarpur and 24th H.H. Thakore Saheb Jitendra Sinh Parmar of Muli proposed and later created history by taking the first ever privately owned international current cricketers tour out of Asia into Africa. Most of the members of the BBH Indo-African friendship cricket tour to Africa were from the same current Indian cricket team which had recently beaten the visiting Tony Lewis’s England cricket team a few months back that was captained by their current Indian team captain Nawab Mansur Ali Khan of Pataudi. The entire campaign led to a fantastic response in terms of effortless global PR with the initiative making headlines across thirty countries. In each of the above-mentioned African countries, the BBH Indo-African friendship cricket team was greeted by the African ministers and tourism board officials of the respective African countries and the Indo-African community at large. The campaign was a huge success resulting in numbers from India swelling year on year in the above respective partner countries.
